  • Promote equality between sexes and cultures with sports, literary, artistic and leisure activities performed together.

REPORT:

The activities and their temporal distribution appear in the program of the meeting for students and teachers; you can check them on our Web Page inside:  meeting < Fifth meeting < “Program”. In this report we are only going to detail the topics that we have talked about and the agreements that we reached.

In this fifth meeting we have reviewed the agreements from our fourth meeting, we have done our common works, we have analyzed the results of the fourth meeting evaluation, we have taken new agreements to go on with our Project and finally we have evaluated this meeting.

MONDAY 7/2/2011

  • TEACHERS’ AND STUDENTS’ MEETING:

The French Headmasters and teachers welcomed us to their school and showed it to us. After that, we visited the Town Hall and we were received by the authorities of the Town. In the afternoon, during the first work session, students from each country presented their PowerPoint Presentations they had prepared previously about legislation concerning to alcohol, drugs and smoking as well as the national campaigns of prevention in each of our countries.

TUESDAY 8/2/2011

  • TEACHERS’ AND STUDENTS’ MEETING:

In this second work session, students were split up into three international groups to start doing the common work of this meeting: “Their own campaigns of prevention against drugs, alcohol and smoking”. They had to prepare posters and videos. At the same time, one student from each country was also selected to take out similarities and differences between the Laws from all our countries, using the presentations they had showed the day before as a reference. Once these six students finished with this comparative study, they went back to their own groups to work on the common work.

Some teachers attended classes of different subjects.

  • COORDINATORS’ AND TEACHERS’ MEETING:

All coordinators and teachers who didn’t attend classes had a meeting and deal the following points:

1. The coordinator of the Project informed about the difficulties found to upload the TV news from Rumania to our Web Page, being for this the reason that they cannot be seen.

She also informed that according with what we agreed in our previous meeting, a point for the profiles of people attending this meeting would be elaborated on our Web and some information from France, Rumania, Lithuania and Bulgaria was missing. Coordinators from these countries explained why this information was not sent and they agreed to send it as soon as possible.

The coordinator reminded to take into account our previous agreement about sending the recording of the winner song in each country to the coordinator team before 26/02/2011 to upload it in our Webpage. The agreed period to do our international contest was from 12th to 19th March through our Webpage. We agreed changing these dates and voting from 14th to 18th March. We talked about the difficulties of voting online, but considering the problems that we found with other proposals, we decided that this voting will be online and we considered that it will be a good way to spread out our Project.

2. Evaluation results from the previous meeting in Rumania were checked, conclusions were written to upload them to our Web Page. They can be read inside: Meeting > Fourth meeting > evaluation.

3. Our Lithuanian partners showed us the draft of the programme for the next meeting in Lithuania. We were informed about their proposals, hotels, airports we could arrive (Vilnius, Kaunas and Riga) and the number of host families they had (20, 4/for each country). We talked about the main points of the program. They asked us about the number of teachers and students who would attend. As the number of students were higher than 4, the Lithuanian coordinator offered us to try to find five more host families and inform us after that. The information about teachers should be given before 18th February in order to book the hotel. We finished this work session and agreed to go on this point in the next work session.

THURSDAY 10/2/2011

Some teachers attended classes of different subjects. Students went on with their work

  • COORDINATORS’ AND TEACHERS’ MEETING:

All coordinators and teachers who didn’t attend classes continued dealing the following points:

1.– We checked again some aspects of the draft of our next meeting. We also agreed to send the profiles of people attending this meeting and set the deadline for this on 26th 2011.

2. About our work for the following meeting, which will be: “Our Similarities and differences” , Lithuanian team is in charge and they suggested the following ideas:

“To do this task, students will need some plasticine (Play – Doh), some paper, carton boxes, a Digital camera, a tripod and a computer with Movie Maker. The host country will provide the students with all necessary materials and equipment.

Participating students will be divided into 5 – 6 international groups. First of all, they will brainstorm the ideas, then, share the work in the group among themselves. The next step would be to make elements and take a photo of each element. They can choose any topic: family life, life at school, teenager life, celebrations… .Students will need to take no less than 300 photos. During the next work session they will upload the pictures using the Movie Maker and put them into a storyline in order. They can also add some background music, transitions and other effects and save the movie into a computer”.

3. Before this meeting, students won’t prepare any extra work, but they have to learn the words of the winner song before going to Lithuania. During the meeting, on Tuesday and Thursday, they will rehearse the song in Lithuania.

4. Prevention against drugs, alcohol and smoking is very important, so we talked about how we could use the resulting works of this meeting, since these materials are done by themselves, so they could be more useful than others. All of us agreed that they should be showed at school and in other Webpages form education, youth Council and so on. For some countries, it is compulsory to have the permission of parents to use images of their children and we have to ask for it.

5. We agreed that the evaluation of this meeting would be on Friday at school. The coordinator of the Project reminded that the French partners, who are in charge of this evaluation, should not only draw the conclusions from the questionnaires but also the percentages of the answers offered by the teachers and the students.

6. We also agreed that the deadline to send all the individual works to the Spanish team, in charge of uploading all the information to our WebPage, will be 11st April 2011.

7. We agreed that our annual evaluation must be done before the last meeting in Lithuania, in order to compare the conclusions from all partners in this meeting.

FRIDAY 11/2/2011

  • TEACHERS AND STUDENTS MEETING:

In this last work session, first of all six student presented on a chart the similarities and differences between the Laws from all our countries regarding drugs, alcohol and smoking. After that, the three other groups of students showed their posters and videos of campaigns of prevention against drugs, alcohol and smoking.

We filled in the evaluation questionnaire of this meeting and we gave it to the French coordinator, so that they could draw the corresponding conclusions

French Headmasters and coordinator gave us the certificates of attendance at this meeting to all participants.

Once again we have met or find friends …. European friends!

CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYBODY!!!!
